Host Expectations
If you don't have the space to host in your home, ask someone in the group to co-host with you! Many of us would happily provide the space for your hosting night.
If co-hosting, write both of your names on the signup sheet.
Before your host night
At least one week before your host night, send a text in the group message with your invite.
Before your host night, collect the agreed-upon amount of money from each attendee for the "cash" pot.
Night of
Set up the space to accommodate the number of gals planning to attend (probably between 12-16).
Coffee tables or the floor can work! Just make sure there is a hard, flat surface to roll dice and write on.
Provide snacks of some kind (you can provide more if desired, but not expected).
After the bunco games, collect the scoresheets and total the final scores to determine winners for each category. Announce the winners and Venmo each their portion of the prize money.
At the end of the night, pass off the bunco box to the next host on the schedule.
At the end of the night, cleanup falls to the host.
Setting Up Your Invite
Using Partiful (or something similar) for your invite is a good way to track RSVPs since the game requires a specific number of players.
Include info about your theme (if applicable), address, and how to get to your place or where to park.
Link this website in your invite for quick access to the host signup sheet and rules (for the newbies).
Remind players to arrive at 7:00 pm so that the game can begin at 7:30 pm.
Partiful Tips
Partiful does not count the host when calculating the number of spots available, so make sure account for that in the number of spots you set:
If you're hosting 12 players, set the limit to 11 spots. If hosting 16, set the limit to 15 spots.
If you have a co-host in Partiful, subtract 2 from your total number of spots!
We wouldn't recommend using the "Chip in" payment feature on Partiful because it will redirect people to your Venmo page before actually confirming their RSVP. Just link your Venmo in the description so they can pay the entry fee after they respond to the invite!
